Talc is a critical element of the sugar waxing process. It is important for the skin to dry. Before sugar waxing cleanse the skin with a mild soapy solution to remove any oils or moisturisers. Then apply a light dusting of talc to the area to be treated to make sure it is free from any moisture. This will provide the best results. Not using talcum powder will cause the water-soluble sugar wax to slip and not stick to the hairs leading to an ineffective treatment.
